Air Plant / Tillandsia

Info: Air Plant is a genus of around 650 species. Native to the forests, mountains and deserts of Mexico and Middle of South America. Their leaves, more or less silvery in color, are covered with specialized cells (trichomes) capable of rapidly absorbing water. Air Plants do not need soil to survive and use their roots to hold on to any surface.

Watering and Care: Water once a week by either misting well or submerging the plant in water. If submerging your plant, excess water can collect between the leaves around the center of the plant. To remove the excess water you can gently shake your Air plant and place it in an area with sunlight and air circulation. Air plants can be kept indoors or outdoors in bright indirect sunlight or partial sunlight. Do not place them in direct sunlight.
